Because both things are true: it eliminated GLP-1 coverage for obesity after October 2025, and it is among the seven states covering at least one weight-loss drug while covering no GLP-1. A summary saying the state covers weight-loss medication is accurate and useless.
Does this affect diabetes prescriptions?
No. Coverage for type 2 diabetes is required under federal Medicaid rules and is not affected by a state's decision on obesity coverage.
